The Vancouver Farmers Market is offering $5,000 in scholarships to college students for the 2011-12 academic year. Scholarships are for students specializing in agriculture, agricultural marketing, and related topics to encourage small-scale farming in the Pacific Northwest and the sale of farm products.
Applications will be accepted until 5 p.m., July 1. A copy of the most-recent high school or college transcript must be submitted with the application.
