VANCOUVER, Wash. (AP) — Police say they have arrested the boyfriend of a woman whose body was found near a highway on the border of Vancouver and Camas, Wash.

Vancouver police spokeswoman Kim Kapp says the victim is a 41-year-old Vancouver woman. Her name was not immediately released Thursday pending notification of relatives. Police have not said how she was killed.

The spokeswoman says 43-year-old Dennis L. Wolter was arrested for investigation of first-degree murder. The Columbian says he was stopped for speeding in the area near where the body was found early Thursday.

The newspaper says police soon turned their attention to the home the two shared about 10 miles from where the body was found. Wolter was arrested nine days earlier for investigation of fourth-degree assault after police responded to a domestic violence complaint at the couple’s home.
