2 dead, several injured in Wash. state bus crash

CLE ELUM, Wash. (AP) -- Two people are dead and several others injured following a tour bus crash on Interstate 90 in central Washington.

Lt. Scott Martin of the Washington State Patrol says the bus struck a pickup truck that was parked on the highway shoulder and then rolled onto its side shortly after 6 p.m. Saturday.

Moments later, a passenger car trying avoid the accident crossed into the center median and crashed.

He says two people on the bus were killed. Another person was airlifted to a hospital in serious condition. Several others were rushed to hospitals but Martin says most of them were treated for minor injuries.
