MONACO (AP) -- Mexican driver Sergio Perez will remain in hospital for another night as a precautionary measure after suffering a concussion and a sprained thigh when crashing in Saturday's qualifying.
The Sauber team said Sunday that Perez "had a good night" at a hospital, and doctors will "carry out another scan on Monday."
Perez lost control of his Sauber coming out of a tunnel section of Monaco's twisting circuit. The front of his car slammed into the tunnel's barrier, spinning around and crashing into a tire wall on the circuit.
There were two other crashes Saturday.
Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg and Hispania's Vitantonio Liuzzi were both unharmed after crashing in practice.
