MILAN (AP) -- Alberto Contador has won the Giro d'Italia for the second time, easily capturing the race after finishing third in the final stage.
The Spaniard beat his chest and celebrated with his traditional pistol shot sign after the 16-mile individual time trial around the streets of Milan. He was 36 seconds behind stage winner David Millar, who was timed in 30 minutes, 13 seconds.
Contador's other Giro title came in 2008. With his doping hearing at the Court of Arbitration for Sport pushed back until later in the summer, Contador could try for a sweep of cycling's three major races -- the Giro, Tour de France and Spanish Vuelta,
