Letter: Prevent suicide by communicating

The Columbian
Published: May 28, 2011, 5:00pm

In light of the recent teen suicides, two in the last week and the fourth in the last four months, we as a community need to take an active role and talk about this with our children.

There are nonprofit organizations that will come to the schools and will talk to kids about suicide so this does not have to happen to another family. Please contact your school and/or the superintendent and make them make this a priority. Our children’s lives depend on it.
