GLADSTONE, Ore. (AP) — Police in the Portland area are investigating the death of a woman found last weekend in her beauty salon in the suburb of Gladstone.
The Oregonian reports the Clackamas County major crimes team is investigating the death of 54-year-old Debbie Lee Higbee Benton.
Police had not released the cause of death Monday but the newspaper said it was a shooting.
No suspects had been arrested in the case and it was not clear what led to the discovery of her body on Saturday night at the small shop where Higbee Benton worked alone.
