Body found in OR river is missing fisherman

DAYTON, Ore. (AP) — Sheriff’s officers say the body of an Oregon man believed to have fallen out of his boat while fishing has been found in the Willamette River outside of Dayton.

The Statesman Journal reports that local fishermen found the body of 52-year-old Anthony J. Lane of Dallas, Ore., last weekend.

Yamhill County sheriff’s Sgt. Steve Warden says there was no indication of foul play.

Polk County sheriff’s officers say the man apparently fell out of his boat May 5. His boat was recovered but searchers were unable to locate him at the time.
