INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Lindsay Whalen scored 12 points and Taj McWilliams-Franklin added 10 points and eight rebounds to help the Minnesota Lynx beat the Indiana Fever 76-70 on Tuesday night in the preseason finale for both teams.

Indiana’s Katie Douglas scored 15 points while Tamika Catchings and Tangela Smith scored 10 points each.

The Lynx never trailed and the game was tied just once. Minnesota broke away at the end of the third and started the fourth quarter on a 7-0 run.

The Fever shot just 28.6 percent from 3-point range (6-of-21) and had only nine assists.

Maya Moore, the no. 1 pick in this year’s draft, scored nine points on 4-of-10 shooting.

The Lynx swept the Fever in its preseason series after beating Indiana, 71-66, a week ago.
