PHOENIX (AP) -- Arizona Diamondbacks President and CEO Derrick Hall will undergo surgery for prostate cancer next week.

The team announced Tuesday that Hall will have the operation on Nov. 8.

The 42-year-old Hall disclosed in late September that the disease was caught in the early stages and he expects a full recovery.

A prostate biopsy was performed Sept. 14 and cancerous tumors were found.

Hall became the Diamondbacks' president in September 2006 and added CEO to his title in January 2009.

He previously worked for parts of 12 seasons in the Los Angeles Dodgers organization.
