Snow forecast in Washington mountain passes

SEATTLE (AP) -- The National Weather Service is forecasting the first snow of the season Wednesday night for mountain passes in Washington.
Forecasters expect up to 5 inches in places. Drivers will likely encounter snow on the North Cascades Highway, Mount Baker, Mount Rainier, and Snoqualmie, Stevens and White passes.
Forecasters also say cold will bring a chance of light snow Thursday in parts of Eastern Washington.
