JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — The Jacksonville Jaguars have placed receiver Mike Sims-Walker on injured reserve and were awarded receiver Brian Robiskie off waivers from Cleveland.

Sims-Walker, signed two weeks ago after being cut by St. Louis, injured a knee in Sunday’s game at Houston.

Robiskie, a second-round draft pick in 2009, has 39 career receptions for 441 yards and three touchdowns. He caught three passes for 25 yards in six games this season. The Browns waived him Tuesday.

Robiskie had 29 receptions for 310 yards and three touchdowns while starting 11 of 14 games in 2010.

Picking up castoffs Sims-Walker and Robiskie shows how desperate the Jaguars (2-6) are to try to upgrade a receiving group that has dropped balls, struggled to get open and provided little help for rookie quarterback Blaine Gabbert.
