TAIPEI, Taiwan (AP) — Washington Nationals first baseman Michael Morse hit a towering home run over the center field wall to lead the MLB All-Star team to a 6-2 win Friday over the Taiwan national team.

The MLB All-Stars lead 3-0 in the five-game series.

Morse doubled in a run in the first inning before hitting the solo shot in the third in the central Taiwanese city of Taichung.

Kansas City Royals right-hander Felipe Paulino started the game for the All-Stars and scattered three hits over four innings.

The teams close out the series over the weekend with two games in the southern city of Kaohsiung. Pitching star Chien-Ming Wang is expected to start for the Taiwanese.
