Vancouver — The Fa Fa Gourmet Chinese restaurant has closed, and its building has been demolished at its longtime site at Northeast Fourth Plain Boulevard and 117th Avenue.

A new AutoZone auto parts store will replace the restaurant at the site, said Cap Berri, senior asset manager for Elliot Associates Inc., which oversees leasing at the Evergreen Plaza retail complex.

The store is slated to open in April. It will replace a nearby AutoZone at 11606 N.E. 66th Circle, said Ray Pohlman, a spokesman for the Memphis-based company.

The company operates 69 stores in Washington and 34 in Oregon, each typically employing 10-12 people. The company expects to open 150 stores in 2012, Pohlman said.
