A fourth-quarter touchdown pass, and an interception with second to play sealed the victory for King’s Way Christian.

Lyle led 12-6 at halftime. King’s Way (8-1) scored on a 28-yard run by Daniel Butler.

Early in the fourth quarter, Chris Crenshaw scored on a 75-yard touchdown pass from Jay Becker. Becker’s 2-point conversion run put King’s Way up 14-12.

Lyle was marching toward the end zone in the final minutes, but was stopped with 2 seconds to play as Becker intercepted a pass.

Becker threw for 168 yards and rushed for 71. Crenshaw caught five passes for 122 yards.

David Veltkamp led the King’s Way defense with 27 tackles. Parth Patel had 15.

King’s Way has a bye next week before beginning the 1B state playoffs as the No. 1 seed from District 1, meaning a likely game in Clark County.
