NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Titans safety Michael Griffin and cornerback Jason McCourty collided trying to cover Bengals receiver A.J. Green, knocking each other to the ground for a few minutes.

Green caught the ball for a 20-yard gain early in the fourth quarter against Tennessee on Sunday, while both Griffin and McCourty came at the receiver from different directions trying to make the play.

Both Griffin and McCourty fell to the ground, and trainers worked on both with four teammates kneeling nearby, watching.

First, McCourty sat up and walked off the field. Then Griffin got to his feet and walked off.

Griffin returned to the game a play later, while McCourty stood on the sideline with his helmet on. McCourty returned on the next defensive series.

Titans receiver Lavelle Hawkins hurt a finger on his right hand and went to the locker room. He returned midway through the fourth quarter.
