LONG BEACH, Wash. (AP) — The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife has approved a two-day razor clam dig for Friday and Saturday on three ocean beaches.

Clam diggers are welcome to bring their shovels and buckets to Long Beach, Twin Harbors and Mocrocks. No digging is allowed before noon.

Marine toxin tests have found the clams on the three beaches are safe to eat.

All diggers age 15 or older must have a license. Diggers can take 15 razor clams a day and are required to keep the first 15 they dig.

Washington officials have tentatively scheduled three other razor-clam digs through the end of the year, as long as toxin tests come out all right.
