BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Boise State didn’t waste any time turning up the intensity for Saturday’s showdown with TCU.

Defensive lineman Chase Baker says he noticed the mood shift Sunday in the Broncos’ weight and conditioning room.

Nobody was clowning around or making the usual wisecracks that follow victories.

Instead, Baker says the room was quiet and his teammates were all business during the light lifting session.

There is plenty at stake when the Horned Frogs (7-2, 4-0) make their first visit to Bronco Stadium.

The winner will have the inside track on the Mountain West Conference title. For the No. 5 Broncos, a win is critical to keeping alive their hopes of playing for a national title.

Baker says the team is more focused than it’s been at any other time this season.
