EVERETT, Wash. (AP) — The Skagit County prosecutor has dropped charges against Colton Harris-Moore in the Barefoot Bandit case, allowing charges from several other counties to be consolidated in Island County.

The Daily Herald of Everett reports he is likely to be arraigned in Coupeville on three dozen state burglary and theft charges in a plea agreement that would keep the 20-year-old behind bars for more than a decade.

Harris-Moore already pleaded guilty in June to federal charges that included the theft of a plane in Skagit County. He's held at the federal detention center at Sea-Tac.

The Daily Herald also reports Twentieth Century Fox paid $1.3 million for rights to the Barefoot Bandit story. Harris-Moore could not profit from his crimes but it would help pay restitution.
