Yakima mail to be processed in Pasco
Tuesday, November 8, 2011
YAKIMA, Wash. (AP) -- The Postal Service plans to start processing Yakima's mail in Pasco.
The Seattle district manager, Yul Melonson, says the move could save $1.2 million a year and eliminate as many as 19 jobs.
Consolidating the Pasco Mail Processing Facility will not change local mail delivery. And, full retail services will still be available at Yakima's main post office.
