PARIS (AP) — Kianoush Rostami of Iran won the 187-pound division at the weightlifting world championships on Friday.
Rostami lifted 381 pounds in the snatch and 460 in the clean and jerk to earn the gold medal. In April, he finished runner-up at the Asian Championships.
Benjamin Hennequin of France finished second and Adrian Zielinski of Poland took bronze.
