SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Mike Felt had 18 points to lead four North Dakota State players in double figures in a 78-58 victory against Louisiana-Lafayette in the Hilltop Challenge on Saturday night.
Taylor Braun had 17 points, Lawrence Alexander 16 and Marshall Bjorklund 13 for the Bison, who are 2-0 for the first time since 2002.
Elfrid Payton scored 13 points to lead the Rajin’ Cajuns (1-1).
Two 3-point shots by Felt and a three-point play by Payton ignited a 19-8 run over a 4:43 stretch of the second half that gave North Dakota State a 65-46 lead. The Rajin’ Cajuns got no closer than 15 the rest of the way.
