Walk & Knock, Clark County’s premier annual food drive, is set for Saturday, Dec. 3 — but preparations are under way and volunteers are welcome.

You can help fold the 140,000 paper bags that will be distributed to homes the week before the event. Bag-foldings will be 8 a.m. to noon on the next two Saturdays, Nov. 19 and Nov. 26, at the Clark County Food Bank’s new headquarters at 6502 N.E. 47th Ave.

Also, volunteer drivers and door-to-door food collectors are welcome for the Dec. 3 event itself. Volunteers will gather at designated spots at 8:30 a.m. and swing into action at 9 a.m. They should expect to be busy until at least 2:30 p.m.

If you’re interested in volunteering with Walk & Knock, visit http://walkandknock.org or call 877-995-6625. (If you want to fold bags, you can just show up.) One hundred percent of the food and money donated in this event benefits the Clark County Food Bank.
