ATHENS, Ga. (AP) — Gerald Robinson scored 15 points and Georgia hit 10 of 15 free throws in the final 3:15 to hold off Bowling Green 63-54 Sunday in the Progressive CBE Classic.

Georgia’s last field goal came with 4:45 to play when Kentavious Caldwell-Pope drove the baseline and made a free throw that gave the Bulldogs (2-0) a 53-43 lead.

A three-point play by Dee Brown with 2:49 to go pulled Bowling Green (1-1) within five, 53-48. The Falcons chose to put the Bulldogs on the line, mostly Robinson and Dustin Ware, and they made enough to preserve the win.

Brown led Bowling Green with 15 points, and Scott Thomas added 11. Caldwell-Pope scored all 11 of his points for Georgia in the second half.

The Falcons dominated Georgia on the boards, winning by a 44-28 margin, led by A’uston Calhoun’s 11.
