SYDNEY (AP) — The USGA Museum is creating a permanent gallery for Mickey Wright.

Wright is considered by many to be the greatest player in LPGA Tour history. She has agreed to donate some 200 personal mementos from her career. The items include two of her four U.S. Women’s Open trophies, the Bulls-Eye putter used in all but one of her 82 wins, and rare video footage of the golf swing that Ben Hogan and Byron Nelson once called the best they ever saw.

Wright has kept these items for nearly 40 years in her Florida home.

She will become only the fourth player — and first woman — to have a room dedicated in her honor at the museum. The others are Hogan, Bobby Jones and Arnold Palmer. The Mickey Wright Room is to open in June.
