Eastbound I-90 reopens at Snoqualmie Pass

SNOQUALMIE PASS, Wash. (AP) -- The Washington Transportation Department reopened eastbound traffic on Interstate 90 over Snoqualmie Pass Monday afternoon after it had been closed more than two hours by heavy snow and vehicle spinouts.

Traffic had backed up several miles near Denny Creek waiting for plows to clear the snow.

Traction tires are required on cars Monday afternoon and chains on big trucks. Oversize vehicles prohibited.
