COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- The Columbus Crew have signed veteran midfielder Eddie Gaven to a multi-year contract extension.
The 25-year-old Gaven is coming off his ninth MLS season overall, and sixth with the Crew. He missed eight games with an ankle injury in 2011, scoring five goals with an assist in 26 games.
