Letter: It’s official: House says trust God

Oh, thank God. The most important legislation to come out of the Republican House of Representatives was finally accomplished earlier this month. Was it their promise after the 2010 election to “focus like a laser on jobs, jobs, jobs?” Well, almost.

After dealing with the terrifying and daunting threat of Shariah law, and trying to defund Planned Parenthood, eliminate funding for NPR, and eliminate the EPA’s ability to regulate coal ash a few weeks ago (anybody catch the Oakbrook, Wis., bluff collapse that dumped coal ash into 11 million people’s drinking water? Or the TVA’s spill in 2008 that dumped 1.1 billion gallons of coal slurry into people’s front yards?) — the House did more. They reaffirmed “In God We Trust” as our national motto.

OK gang, can we have a jobs bill now?
