OREGON CITY, Ore. (AP) — An 80-year-old man was burned and 200 quail were killed in a propane explosion at a barn near Oregon City.
Clackamas Fire District 1 says crews were dispatched Monday afternoon to the barn where the explosion had knocked out a wall.
The fire department says the man had turned on a gas heater but let too much time pass before he was able to get a flame lit. The explosion knocked him down. He was airlifted to a hospital in Portland with burns to his head and hands.
