HERMISTON, Ore. (AP) — A friend of the victim says a Friday night party that attracted people they didn’t know and got out of control led to a fatal shooting in Eastern Oregon.
Hermiston police have arrested 25-year-old Jesus Carrillo Jr. on a murder charge. The prosecutor says the case will go to the grand jury this week.
The East Oregonian reports that (http://bit.ly/vx8UND ) a friend of 34-year-old Heriberto Aparicio Garcia recounted through an interpreter an evening that began with inviting young women to a party at their manufactured home.
But 30-year-old Estamo Marcias said that up to a dozen uninvited men arrived, as well, and after the party got rowdy, Garcia asked people to leave, got into a fight and was shot.
