Cunningham leads Oregon State past Hofstra 82-72

CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) — Jared Cunningham scored a career-high 35 points to lead Oregon State to an 82-72 win over Hofstra in the TicketCity Legends Classic Wednesday night.

Devon Collier added 25 points, also a career best, for the Beavers, who are 3-0 for the first time in 11 years.

Oregon State outscored Hofstra 12-4 in the first 2:24 of the second half to go ahead 51-45 and never trailed again. Hofstra got within two points twice before the Beavers pulled away in the final six minutes.

Cunningham made 11 of 15 shots from the field, including a 3-pointer, and went 12 for 17 from the free-throw line.

Joe Burton added five points, 10 rebounds and a career-high 11 assists for Oregon State. Mike Moore scored 16 points and David Imes added 15 for Hofstra (1-1).
