WATERVILLE, Wash. (AP) — A Douglas County sheriff’s deputy, who was once decorated as officer of the year, has been suspended for twice having sex with a woman while he was on duty.
The Wenatchee World reports that (http://bit.ly/spxvBG ) Sheriff Harvey Giesdal suspended deputy Scott Stokoe without pay for 160 hours and removed him from the department’s “Honor Guard” for disclosing he had consensual sex with a woman who was not his wife.
Giesdal ordered Stokoe to seek counseling.
According to the suspension order, Stokoe had sex with a woman while on duty, and drove her around. The letter says Stokoe did not fill out a required liability waiver form for the woman.
Stokoe was named the department’s officer of the year in 2007.
