Indiana takes easy road past Evansville 94-73

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (AP) -- Verdell Jones scored 17 points and Christian Watford had 15, leading Indiana to a 94-73 victory at Evansville Wednesday night.

It was the Hoosiers' second true road victory in coach Tom Crean's four seasons and their most lopsided win outside of Bloomington, Ind., since a 24-point rout at Ball State on Dec. 31, 2005. Indiana (3-0) has now won three straight by 20 or more points for the first time since December 2007.

Evansville (1-1) was led by Colt Ryan and Kenneth Harris, who each scored 17 points in front of a sellout crowd at the brand-new Ford Center.

It was never close.

Indiana jumped to a 7-0 lead, led 42-23 with 5:27 left in the first half and the Aces couldn't get closer than 21 in the second half.
