SEATTLE (AP) — The region’s largest wine-tasting event will be produced by the Seattle Convention and Visitors Bureau under a new partnership with the Washington Wine Commission.

The two groups announced a partnership Wednesday to produce Taste Washington, an annual food and wine event that features more than 200 wineries, 60 Pacific Northwest restaurants and attracts more than 3,000 people.

The commission will become a presenting sponsor and will manage winery participation. The Seattle Convention and Visitors Bureau will handle sponsorship and vendor arrangements.

Educational seminars will be conducted March 31, and the grand tasting event will expand to two days, March 31 and April 1. Both will be held at CenturyLink Field Event Center in Seattle.

The Washington Wine Commission is a promotional group funded by member fees from wineries and growers.
