4.0 quake shakes north central Washington

WENATCHEE, Wash. (AP) — A 4.0 earthquake has shaken north central Washington.

The Pacific Northwest Seismic Network reports it occurred at 5:09 a.m. Friday and was centered seven miles northwest of Omak, and 8 miles northwest of Okanogan.

KPQ in Wenatchee reports callers say it was felt in Leavenworth, where it was described as a rolling motion, and in Twisp where it was strong enough to shake items off a shelf.

No reports of structural damage.
