Federal prosecutors collect $74M from Wash. cases

SEATTLE (AP) -- U.S. Attorney Jenny Durkan says her office has collected $74 million from criminal and civil actions this past fiscal year.
Durkan's office covers western Washington and the haul was part of $6.5 billion the Department of Justice collected between Oct. 1, 2010 and Sept. 30, 2011. Durkan's office says of the $74.1 million collected, $55.6 million came from criminal prosecutions and $18.5 from civil actions.
