JOHOR BAHRU, Malaysia (AP) — Sweden’s Daniel Chopra fired a 6-under 65 to take the clubhouse lead at the Iskandar Johor Open on Friday.

Dozens of other players failed to complete the second round amid concerns about lightning.

Two-time PGA Tour winner Chopra is 13-under 129 at the Horizon Hills Golf and Country Club in Malaysia’s southern Johor state.

Chopra was five strokes ahead of Mohd Siddikur of Bangladesh and Swedish pair Christian Nilsson and Michael Jonzon.

Seventy of the 156 players in the European and Asian tour event will complete their second round Saturday.

Chopra won his first professional title in Malaysia at the 1993 Johor Open.
