PROVO, Utah (AP) — Charles Abouo’s double-double placed BYU to an easy 92-60 victory over Longwood on Friday night.
Abouo achieved game bests of 19 points and 16 rebounds to lead the Cougars (2-1).
Noah Hartsock scored 18 points for BYU, Stephen Rogers added 17 and Damarcus Harrison had 11. Anson Winder had a game-high five assists.
Antwan Carter hit 8 of 12 shots and scored 18 points for the Lancers (1-2), their only double-figure scorer.
Longwood started quickly and held an early six-point lead. But the Cougars regrouped and established a 35-29 halftime advantage.
