ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Marcus Jordan scored 21 points and Keith Clanton added 20 points and 15 rebounds to lead Central Florida to an 84-72 win over High Point Friday night.

Jordan, son of NBA Hall-of-Famer Michael Jordan, and Clanton combined for 25 points in the second half when UCF (2-1) pulled away from the undersized Panthers.

The Knights were in control the entire second half, but couldn’t get comfortable until P.J. Gaynor started an 11-0 run with a crowd-pleasing dunk. Gaynor was fouled on the play, converted the free throw and soon after added a 3-pointer from the corner as UCF took its biggest lead of the game, 72-57 with 4:27 left in the game.

High Point (1-2) never got closer than nine the rest of the way. The Panthers were led by Nick Barbour with 18 points, Corey Law had 17 and Shay Shine contributed 15 points and 10 rebounds.
