TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — Florida State started the season as a heavy favorite to win the Atlantic Coast Conference. They’re finishing as a bridesmaid in their own division.

The Seminoles (7-3, 5-2 ACC) wrap up their seven-game home schedule Saturday against Virginia (7-3, 4-2 ACC) in a matchup of two teams with modest late-season winning streaks.

The 23rd-ranked Seminoles are a 17-point favorite over Virginia, which has won its last three games. The Cavaliers had actually had hopes of possibly winning the ACC’s Coastal Division until Virginia Tech took care of business on Thursday and defeated North Carolina to clinch that title.

Florida State came into the season ranked in the top 10 nationally, but dropped out of the rankings following three straight losses. They’ve rebounded with six straight wins going into Saturday’s game.
