Hill’s 5 TDs leads Georgia St past Campbell 42-35

ATLANTA (AP) — Georgia State quarterback Kelton Hill became the first player in the program’s two-year history to account for five touchdowns in one game, as he threw for four scores and ran for another in a 42-35 win over Campbell on Saturday at the Georgia Dome.

Hill, a redshirt sophomore, completed of 13 of 22 passes for 213 yards and rushed 20 times for 141 yards for the Panthers (3-8). He threw touchdown passes of 3 and 55 yards to Jordan Giles, 56 yards to Danny Williams, and 3 yards to Arthur Williams.

Hill also ran for a 39-yard touchdown.

Donald Russell carried 19 times for 146 yards, marking the first time Georgia State had two 100-yard rushers in the same game.

Braden Smith completed 21 of 32 passes for 250 yards and one touchdown for Campbell (6-5). He rushed 10 times for a team-high 44 yards and a 7-yard touchdown.
