FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) — Arkansas says Razorbacks tight end Garrett Uekman has died.
The university said in a statement that Uekman was pronounced dead at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville on Sunday afternoon. The cause of death wasn’t immediately known, and police and officials wouldn’t comment until all of Uekman’s family had been notified.
The 19-year-old Uekman redshirted last season for the Razorbacks but had seen limited action this season as a freshman.
The No. 3 Razorbacks (10-1, 6-1 Southeastern Conference) play at No. 1 LSU on Friday.
