Loucks leads No. 25 FSU over S Alabama, 80-39

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — Luke Loucks scored 18 points and Terrance Shannon had 13 of his 15 points in the first half to pace No. 25 Florida State to an 80-39 victory over South Alabama on Sunday.

Deividas Dulkys added 12 points, three rebounds, three steals and two blocks for Florida State (4-0).

The Seminoles have won four straight to open a season for the fifth time in coach Leonard Hamilton’s 10 years at Florida State.

Augustine Rubit had 10 points and eight rebounds for South Alabama (1-2), which went 0 for 24 from 3-point range and 16 for 68 (23.5 percent) from the floor.

Loucks had 11 of Florida State’s first 20 points and the Seminoles led 20-10 with 11:18 left in the first half.

The Seminoles continued to pour it on, going on a 24-6 run over the final 8:47 of the half to grab a 51-23 lead at the break.
