PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Chehales Tapscott scored 19 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead Portland State to a 101-64 victory over Linfield on Monday night.
Charles Odum added 16 points for the Vikings (2-1), and Nate Lozeau had a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds.
Zach Anderson led Linfield (1-2) with 20 points, and Zach Meikle had 12.
Portland State jumped out early on the Division III Wildcats and led 12-2 after Lateef McMullan hit a 3-pointer slightly more than 3 minutes into the game.
The Vikings put the game away with a 16-2 run late in the first half and went ahead 42-20 after Odum scored eight straight points during the stretch. Portland State led by as many as 37 points in the second half on the way to its second victory.
The Vikings shot 52 percent and outrebounded Linfield 43-33.
