Muscala’s 19 help Bucknell hold off Marist 74-68

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. (AP) — Mike Muscala scored 19 points and Bucknell overcame Marist’s 3-point shooting in a 74-68 victory Tuesday night.

Bryan Cohen and Joe Willman added 14 points apiece for the Bison (2-2) and Bryson Johnson had 12.

Bucknell led by 15 points, 46-31, with less than 3 minutes gone in the second half, but two 3-pointers by Devin Price and one each by Isaiah Morton and Manny Thomas enabled the Red Foxes (1-4) to get within seven, 50-43, at the 14:42 mark.

Marist trailed by seven, 70-63, with 3:02 left, and neither team scored for nearly two minutes before a jumper by Willman made it a nine-point game with 1:08 to play.

Adam Kemp finished with 16 points, Morton 14 and Price 11 to lead Marist. Price, Morton and Thomas each made three 3-pointers for the Red Foxes, who were 11 of 25 beyond the arc.
