Delaware State routs Philadelphia Biblical 104-41

DOVER, Del. (AP) — Tahj Tate scored 19 points and Delaware State cruised to a 104-41 win over Phildelphia Biblical, an NAIA school, Wednesday night.

Twelve players scored for the Hornets (2-2), who registered their highest point total since Greg Jackson became head coach in 2000. Delaware State beat the Crimson Eagles 103-41 last season in the only other meeting between the two schools.

Casey Walker added 16 points, Tyshawn Bell had 15, Brandon Oliver scored 13 and Amere May had 10 for the Hornets, whose bench outscored Philadelphia Biblical 54-12.

Hot shooting in the first half led to a 57-17 lead for Delaware State, which made 65.7 percent (23 of 35) field goal attempts in the first half. The Hornets nearly made more shots (42) than the Crimson Eagles attempted. Philadelphia Biblical was 14 of 45 for the game.

Jeff Bishop scored 11 points and Wendell Torres had 10 for the Crimson Eagles.
