Lincoln — Students at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School held an inspirational Veterans Day Assembly on Nov. 10 featuring Col. Dan Kern. Kern, who served in Afghanistan, has grandchildren who attend the school.

Cub and Boy Scouts presented the colors and Kendra Brislawn, a fourth-grader, sang “God Bless America.”

A slideshow featuring students’ family members who are currently serving or have served in the military was shown during the assembly.

More photos, uniforms, military items and a military truck were on display.
