North Florida pulls away from Wright State 79-62

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Jerron Granberry scored 19 points and North Florida pulled away in the second half to beat Wright State 69-52 on Wednesday night.

The game was tied 28-28 at halftime, then the Ospreys (2-4) went on a 20-6 run during a 7-minute span in the second half to put the game out of reach. Granberry’s layup with 2:18 to play gave North Florida its biggest lead at 67-50.

Travis Wallace added 11 points for the Ospreys, who shot 57.1 percent from the field (28 of 49) and snapped a three-game losing streak.

North Florida, which allowed a season-low 52 points, got 26 points off 14 Wright State turnovers.

Wright State (2-3), which lost for the first time this season to a non-top 25 team, made only 8 of 27 field goal attempts in the second half.

Julius Mays scored 15 points and AJ Pacher added 13 for the Raiders.
