OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) — Zombie dress-up day had been scheduled Wednesday at Reeves Middle School in Olympia, but it was canceled because students were caught calling each other Nazis, drawing swastikas and making the “Heil Hitler” salute.
The Olympia School District told KIRO-TV (http://bit.ly/s119Fn ) the behavior apparently was inspired by the video game, “Call of Duty: Black Ops,” in which players shoot zombies dressed as Nazis.
The principal sent parents an email Tuesday canceling zombie day and reminding them that Nazi symbols are inappropriate.
