Battle Ground — The Battle Ground Rotary Club raised about $25,000 during its fundraising event, A Black and White Affair Casino Royale on Oct. 1. The event included food, gambling, vendors, music and a silent auction. The top winners of the night won donated prizes such as snowboarding lessons, a handyman for the day and fitness packages. The funds raised will be used to help Clark County community programs such as scholarships, the Rock Solid Community Teen Center, Loaves and Fishes, the YWCA CASA program and the North County Community Food Bank. The Rotary club says it wouldn’t be able to provide assistance to these programs without the help of the generous sponsors, donors and supporters in the community.
